Section 2(1)(g)

(g) “prescribed ” means prescribed by rules made under this Act; 5[(h) “public holiday ” means any day which is a public holiday for the purposes of section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (26 of 1881);] 10[(i)] “sign”, in relation to a person who is unable to write his name , means authenticate in such manner as may be prescribed. 11* * * * * 12* * * * *
